"The more firmly people believe they can debate their way to truth with words at the expense of experience, the further astray they go; the more people seek truth through experience, the harder it becomes to find suitable words and the less need they have of them in their search."
-Just Me
I like it. I'd add that the less people unhealthily obsess over the search, the closer they will be to their goal.
ReplyDeleteNoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteMy search is doomed.
You have an unhealthy obsession? ;-)
ReplyDeleteWhat blog are you reading? :^P
ReplyDeleteHah! I assumed your health was not in danger due to your quest. I used to play an MMO called Clan Lord, their slogan was "Don't forget to Eat and Sleep" maybe you should adopt it? ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I have food and sleep quite high on the priority list...
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear. :-)
ReplyDeleteAs long as one isn't neglecting ones health or their relationships with others I think they will be just fine. Then again, Jesus did supposedly fast in the desert for 40 days, which would not be healthy, so maybe I'm off base here.
There's nothing wrong with a good healthy obsession.
What I meant is it would be unhealthy to sit under tree, day after day, berating yourself, swearing like a sailor, and bitching that you hadn't attained enlightenment yet.
