Well, I don't laugh at God, since I don't see much reason to believe in him, but I laugh at some people's ideas of God, yes, even in hospitals. During war I tend to cry at people's ideas of God.

ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why the last line just doesn't fit for me. "We're all crying with God," would make sense, thematically.
Perhaps its God is laughing with us at the (g)od who will give you money (but only if you pray just the right way).
It's a common saying: I am not laughing at you/I'm laughing with you.
