The beams in our own eyes

It strikes me as odd that so many people are so concerned with whether people who are non-heterosexual can be or are being genuine or good Christians, or whether people who are Pro-Choice can be or are being genuine or good Christians, or whether those characterized in some other way can be or are being genuine or good Christians, when it seems to me what these busy-bodies really ought to be concerned with is whether they themselves can be or are being genuine or good Christians. The criticisms of Jesus regarding the Pharisees for preferring a self-image of purity and a judgemental view of the impurity of others seems to be totally neglected in favor of "Judge first, judge hard and judge often, lest anyone get around to noticing your own faults."
